Who you are calling
A family business that has done nothing but chimneys in Los Angeles since 1977.
The company started in 1977 and never drifted into anything else. No franchise, no call center, no rotating crew of subcontractors. The same family has run it the whole way.
That matters more than it sounds. A sweep who has spent decades on these roofs already knows what a 1920s Palos Verdes flue looks like from the inside, how a postwar Lakewood tract chimney gives up, and which streets took the worst of the 1994 Northridge quake. You learn that by doing it. There is no shortcut.
What the fire protection part means
The full name is AAA Chimney Sweep and Fire Protection Co. The second half is the actual job.
A chimney is a fire safety appliance. Creosote builds up and catches. Clay tile cracks and lets heat reach framing. A blocked flue pushes carbon monoxide back into the house.
Sweeping is the visible part of the work. The point of it is that the flue is safe to use, which is why we check the liner, the damper and the cap on the same visit, and why we size and build to NFPA 211.
How a visit actually goes
We look first, then quote. Nobody gets a price for work before we know what is wrong.
Drop cloths go down before anything else, and the HEPA vacuum runs the whole time we are in the house. A camera goes up the flue. You see the photos of whatever we found, and the repair matches the fault.
Sweeps start at $99 and inspections start at $69. The quote we give you is the price. Nobody finds out about extra work on the invoice.

Why there is no shop to visit
We are a service area business. The van comes to you, and there is no storefront to walk into.
All the work happens at your house, on your roof and at your firebox. A shop would add rent and give you nothing. So we do not list a street address, and anyone who tells you they need you to come in for a chimney quote is wasting your morning.

The beach cities get salt, which eats caps and mortar faster than anything inland. The peninsula gets wind. Norwalk and Lakewood get whole streets of chimneys built in the same three years, wearing out together.

- How long have you been doing this?
- Since 1977, under the same family. The tools have changed. We run cameras and HEPA vacuums now. The work itself is the same work.
- Who actually shows up at my house?
- One of our own sweeps in a marked van, not a subcontractor we found that morning. Drop cloths go down before any tools come out.
- Do you charge to come out and look?
- An inspection starts at $69, and a sweep starts at $99. We do not quote repairs blind, so the camera goes up the flue before anyone talks about price.
- What areas do you cover?
- Los Angeles, the South Bay, the Palos Verdes peninsula and the harbor cities. If you are not sure whether you are in range, call and ask.
- Can I reach you on a weekend?
- Yes. We answer every day from 8am to 8pm, Sunday included. Outside those hours leave a message and we call back.
- Do you handle the repairs yourselves?
- Yes. Crowns, mortar, firebox work, relining and caps are all done by our own crews. The person who found the problem is the one who fixes it.
